What an IT Health Check covers

Why start with a look instead of a plan
Most small offices do not know what shape their technology is in until something breaks. The computer with the books on it has never been backed up, or the person who set up the email left years ago and took the admin password with them. A Health Check finds those things on a calm day instead of a bad one.
ITAKY's IT Health Check is $295, fixed. It covers up to 10 computers at one location. Steven spends about an hour on site, and you get a two-page written summary with the top three recommendations. You keep it whether you hire ITAKY or not.
What gets looked at
Computers: their age, whether Windows or macOS updates are current, whether antivirus is actually running, and which machine holds the data the business cannot lose.
Backups: whether there is one, where it goes, and when anyone last restored a file from it. A backup nobody has tested is a hope, not a plan.
Email: whether it is on your own domain, whether multi-factor sign-in is turned on, and whether SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are set up so your mail is trusted by other servers.
Wi-Fi and the network: whether guests share a network with office computers, and whether the router still has its factory login.
Accounts: who holds the admin passwords for email, the domain, and the router, and whether former employees still have access.
What to have ready
It helps to know who your internet provider is, where the router and any server are, and who manages your domain and email. If you do not know some of that, that is fine. Finding out is part of the point.
Have someone available who can sign in to the main computers. Nothing is changed during the check without asking first.
What it is not
It is not a penetration test or a legal compliance audit, and it does not certify anything. Fixing what it finds is separate, scoped work, with the price in writing before anything starts.
